Stepping into Spring

Step into the portal of spring

The flowers of spring are blooming, and many of us are still shaking off the heaviness of winter. Who's got all their regimens in order? The work, the work outs, the meditation, the herbs, prayer, eating goals, journaling, etc. Yes, the sunshine is lovely, but how do you stay focused when outside is giving the energy we need? Sinus allergies, body aches, and lethargy are all symptoms of the body’s time clock changing. And even with all this happening, our life's goals are calling out for us. Will we be up to the challenge?

During this time, I make sure to get lots of sunlight. Vitamin D is crucial to the immune system and overall body health. My mentors have instructed me to be spending a majority of my time outside, with a minimum of 2 hours per day. I often like to walk in the grass barefoot, hike along waterfalls and allow my energy to be cleared by the rawness of the earth.

I also try to stay up on my herb game. If you’re battling the POLLEN: MULLEIN is great for clearing mucus from the body, Camphor relieves congestion, Lavender opens up the respiratory and lymphatic systems, and Nettle builds the immune system and assists in regulating the lymphatic system. Lately, I’ve been using holy basil and mint to regulate my mood and energy levels. I’ve also been doing a lot of work with wild flowers: Violets, Magnolias, Dandelions, and Clovers. They smell amazing and have wonderful properties for the body! If you’re interested in seeing my herbal remedies, you can view them here.

But the most important thing I’m doing is flowing with who I TRULY am!!!

Many people don’t know that I was living on a small island off the coast of GA most of 2021. Sapelo Island showed me the power of being in tune with nature and in tune with our purpose. Are your actions your own decisions, or are they programmed by the outside world? That was and still is a huge eye opening question I ask myself. I don’t know everyone’s individual answer, but I do know that we all deserve a life that is safe, loving, prosperous, progressive, and sustainable. Those are basic human rights, and I think it’s a part of my mission to bring that liberation into existence.

Springtime is about the old passing away and the rebirth of something new! Change is not always easy, but it is the flow of nature. But sometimes being NATURAL feels uncomfortable because we live in a society that has taught us the value in manipulating ourselves to fill quotas, handle obligations, and fit into standards. While excellence is important, it is absolutely void without wellness of the body, mind, and spirit. And when we look around today, we will see that while we have advance technologically and made our lives very convenient, we are not a joyful, blissful society. We live in a society filled with fear, lack, poverty, worry, disease, anxiety, depression, and high rates of suicide. There are many stories of people taking their own lives, many who could shake off the heaviness of winter.

But this message is a reminder that nothing last forever and the magic of summer is calling us to step forward into it with our true selves. We’ll be hosting a Summer Equinox cleanse mid-June, where we will prepare ourselves to step into the fiery passion of the sun the next level that is calling us. And then we will celebrate with our Communion on Sacred Land in Sapelo Island, GA! Join the MAGIC HERE!

The Fall Equinox

The first day of FALL is rapidly approaching and comes with a moment in time that we call the Equinox!

The first day of FALL is rapidly approaching and comes with a moment in time that we call the Equinox! The practice of yoga recognizes the season change as an auspicious time, as it is signifies the movement of the SUN. In the yogic chakra system, we learn that we also have an internal sun, which is represented by the Solar Plexus, or Manipura chakra. Many ancient traditions revered the significant movements of the sun. One of my jegnas, Doctah B Sirius is an herbalist, musician, and expert on the sub-conscious mind. He has been offering insight on the season changes for years. What follows are some of his insights on the Fall Equinox.

**************

“Every year the SUN is crossing the equator. It is moving from the Northern Hemisphere down into the Southern Hemisphere. When Fall begins, the energy also falls. The leaves fall from the trees, and the gravity pulls from the limbs of the trees down into the root. The squirrels begin to gather their nuts, berries. And the bears begin to prepare for hibernation. it’s a time to go inward. It’s time to use the energy that you have gained throughout the whole year, and storing it, because you’re gonna need it for wintertime. So, this is the time, to gather all we have, all we know, so we can go inward and become who we truly are, become our greatest.

People view the coming of autumn as flu season, every year. Why? Because the sun’s rays are not as strong in the Northern Hemisphere, so you’re going to have something to do something to get more sunlight. You can eat more sunflower seeds, more pumpkin seeds, and take more Vitamin D3, because the flu is just a matter of toxins in your system that’s affecting you, and your body is not detoxifying it. Your channels of elimination (skin, urination, deification, lymph nodes) are clogged, and you become full of it. Full of toxicity. And your immune system is busy trying to break down these toxins. We are photovoltaic, we take sunlight and turn it into electricity. We are electric.

Because of the change in season, our energy changes. The magnetism in the Northern Hemisphere changes. Everything changes. To be functional, to be on top, to rise during the fall, we have to change some of the habits that we’ve had in the summer. We have to eat foods that are in season. Nature provides foods with special types of energy. Food stores energy. It is energy. So in the Fall, we change. Around the 21st of September, we change our energy, in order to stay on top. Our immune system at this particular time, must be at a high vibration. I prefer to call it a defense system rather than an immune system. If we were immune to something we wouldn’t catch it. But sometimes we do catch something, because of Seasonal Affective Disorder", so things happen in certain seasons because of who we are in that season.

This is the time to choose the best food. Foods that begin with the letter “P” would be excellent to charge yourself up, boost your defense system, and to charge your electromagnetic field. Pears, Pumpkin, Pomegranate, Papaya, Plantain, Passionflower, Parsley, Purple Potatoes, Parsnips, Persimmons, Purple Cabbage, Pistachios, Plums, Dates, Muscadines, Grapes, Turnip Greens, Mustard Greens, Collard Greens, Beet Juice, Cilantro, Green Banana, Fresh Jackfruit, all Berries and Root Vegetables will all support you and the building of your defense system. Nature has supplied the electricity, the energy, and the minerals for this season. Because this Fall is going to be different than any fall we’ve ever had before.”

***********

Now, is an excellent time to let go. Just like the trees are shedding, so should we. We should drop what no longer serves us and keep the root of who we truly are. Now, more than ever, it is vital to get in touch with who we truly are! I pray that the powerful of the Fall Equinox touches your spirit and takes your life to a place of peace, balance, and joy.
